In this episode, I talk to fellow Parentpreneur Francesca Tortora, a Freelance Graphic designer who works with individuals, small businesses and established brands across the arts, media and charitable sectors.
Alongside her graphic design work, in 2016 Francesca set up ‘Doing It For the Kids.net’ – a site that compiles stories from other Freelancing Parents. This includes her own story of how she played the long game when she retrained as a graphic designer so that she could work from home with her (at the time), non-existent kids.
In a short time, Francesca’s Instagram profile has now got over 2,500 followers and individual stories spark many comments amongst her highly engaged community.
In this episode I explore Francesca’s experiences as a Freelancer, how she manages this alongside spending time with her 22-month-old son, and how she’s growing an online community alongside her day-job.
